When the boy looked up he saw nothing but distraction. The world had become less natural and more artificial. Screens lined the streets, the found their way onto the walls, into pockets, and most importantly in front of faces. They surrounded him, containing him within their image. While there was no threat an irony had arisen. With these screens the boy realized he had become more knowledgeable of events but found himself ignoring those around him. Even though he was connected to everyone with a screen he was more disconnected than ever before. Even though he saught to have privacy, he gave it away with ease. Technology had taken the world and on this day technology had become the boy’s captivator.
